Throwback Thursday - Seoul City Bus Tour

{April 5, 2013}

Hello there! It is time for a throwback to another wonderful day in my beloved Seoul! Over two years ago, a few of my friends and I decided to give the Seoul City Bus Tour a shot and be tourists for a day (Not that we technically, weren't, but you know what I mean). But first, Starbucks.
 There is no Starbucks in Italy, and as much as I do not miss the expensive drinks, I do miss the great times I had at the Yongsan Starbucks. We then began the tour at the Noksapyeong bus stop and bought our tickets.
 Our first stop was Namsagol Village and we spent quite a little bit of time there, just wandering around and taking pictures. Unfortunately, the freaking sky was completely gray ALL day (Pretty normal in Seoul) so all these photos look pretty bland. And ain't nobody go'time for sky replacement in all of these. So yeah. Ugly pics.
I am NOT grabbing my boob. The cutout isn't either.
 We headed out to the Namsagol stop and (also normal in Seoul) got stopped by a swarm of adorable Korean girls who wanted to take pictures with us, because foreigners... and were smitten with my friend Desha's baby. They must have taken a hundred pictures of him
 Our next stop was Seoul Tower. We didn't go all the way up, just took a few photos of the tower and had a snack while waiting for the next bus.
 Our next stop was Insadong, one of my favorite areas in Seoul. Found another Starbucks, took some pictures, walked around, did some shopping (Best. Scarf. Shop. Ever.) and had a not-so-great lunch.
 Also got interviewed by Korean students. I must be in at least 5 YouTube videos being interviewed on several topics. This time, it was gay marriage.
One of my favorite photos ever of myself, taken by the lovely Marisa Johnson.
 Our next and last stop for the day, since everyone needed to go home, was the Gyeongbokgung area, which I love! We had so much fun just wandering and taking photos. It was already to late to go in the palace but we still had fun wandering the outside and the square.
Another favorite, by Marisa Johnson
 One of my favorite sights in Seoul, Matchy-Matchy couples :)
I would really recommend the Seoul City Bus Tour to anyone who is in Seoul for a short time (Or just wants to go out exploring!) It is an inexpensive and efficient way to see the best of the city. We paid 10,000KRW back then which was less than $10 and got to ride all day!

Thanks for reading!

Love,
Zayda
