Tartine

I think I heard of Tartine during my first week in Korea. I saw a sign in Itaewon, maybe? Anyway, it wasn't until about 6 or 7 months living here that I actually decided to try it. The first time I visited Tartine, it was a Saturday night and it was insanely packed. Had to wait for a while and then eat out in the street. Thankfully it was a nice night, not too cold and not too hot and we didn't mind being outside. I loved my pie so I knew I had to go back .
For my friend Mary's farewell, I went with Tracie, Meg, Mischa and Gill to Itaewon for some lunch. After that we decided we needed something sweet and headed to Tartine for some yummy pie.
I find Tartine's pies to be a little bit on the pricey side (7,700 KRW for my Chocolate creme pie). Not outrageously expensive but still a tad more than I would normally pay for dessert. If I had wanted my pie a-la-mode, it would have been 10,000KRW, which does sound like a lot but it's really nice to know that you have the option.
Tartine also offers brunch from Tuesday through Sunday from 9am to 3pm and I am looking forward to trying it. They also offer cookies and brownies and other baked goods, as well as coffee and drinks.
I ordered the Chocolate  Cream Pie and it was soft and delicious.
Mary had the Crack pie, and if Crack is anything like this, I would like some, please. She let me have a bite and it was amazing.
Meg had a paradise something something. I really can't remember the name.
and last but not least, Tracie had a Cherry pie! Yumm!
We all enjoyed our pies very much, and I know I will be going back to Tartine for more of that crack pie. Mmmm. Crack pie.
