Passion5

Passion5 is a bakery located near the Hangangjin subway station, right behind where I live. Every time I walk to the subway, I go past it and sometimes I can't help but go in. Passion5 is a little more upscale than any other bakery/patisserie that I have ever seen. The place is carefully designed and decorated, the staff always looks neat and clean and they wear black and white uniforms. The food, oh my god, THE FOOD. It is so delicious.  I strongly recommend the White Chocolate Bread, which is my favorite thing in the whole place (4,000KRW). Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of it. Here's some other stuff my husband and I ate in one of our visits.
I really love this place, whoever designed it has amazing taste. Everything in it is made with such care for details. It's just stunning. The place is split in four sections. The first one is the Gelato. We had some and it was very good gelato, not the best I've ever had, but good nonetheless. They also have ice cream sandwiches, waffles, and macaroons filled with ice cream.
The second part is the bakery, where you can find different kinds of bread, stuffed with whatever you can imagine. We always buy a loaf of some kind of round bread that has no crust, perfect for subs or for eating with butter. Super soft. (5,500KRW).
The third station is the patisserie, where you can find carefully crafted cakes, cookies, meringues, cheesecakes and everything in between, and last but not least is the chocolatier, where they have a huge assortment of macaroons and a variety of chocolates. Unfortunately, I don't have more photos because apparently you are not allowed to take photos in there but... oh well, here they are! Passion5 is a little more expensive than any other bakeries I have been to in Seoul, but it is worth for an every-once-in-a-while treat. So if you see this red bird, go in and try something, you wont regret it.
