Movies Of The Month #4 - June 2011

I watched 14 Movies in June... that's 2 less than last month... It was a pretty busy month, work has been insane. Here's the list of June's movies:

Bridesmaids
Couples Retreat
Gnomeo & Juliet
Happythankyoumoreplease
Just Go With It
Poltergeist
Rabbit Hole
Sanctum
The Company Men
The Joneses
The Maiden Heist
Tron: Legacy
True Grit
Waitress

Great Movies

Loved it! I laughed sooo hard... even at the gross and disgusting scenes.

This movie is a breath of fresh air and one of the cutest movies I've seen in a while. I feel like I actually learned something from it and want to practice it on my daily life.

I have no idea why I hadn't seen this movie before. Being one of the most popular horror classics, it was totally off my radar all my life. I knew it was out there, but I never got around to watching it. And boy, was I missing out. New favorite horror movie, right there.

If you're ready to cry your eyes out and have your stomach tied in a knot for an hour and a half, by all means watch this movie. If not, I recommend you skip it. My heart felt smaller as I was watching and picturing myself in their situation. It was honest and real. and I swear I am not biased by my love for Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart.

 Very Good Movies

Yeah, yeah, it got some bad reviews... who cares? I loved it. This was actually my second time watching it, first time was in the theater. I love it so much I bought it (in one of those Blockbuster sales, but I still bought it!) It's impossible not to smile with that awesome cast.

It's so easy to relate to this movie. Anyone can end up in this situation and it can't be an easy one.

I admit I might be biased on this one. With Morgan Freeman AND Christopher Walken, I will always be. Weird but funny, by the way.

Jeff Bridges is the man, I'm telling ya. Very, very good movie.

If you saw any of these movies, let me know how you like them! I also accept any movie recommendation or suggestion :) Have a good weekend everyone, and thanks for reading!

  1. Poltergeist is one of my all-time favorites. I LOVED True Grit. Of course, I love everything the Coen brothers do. I wasn't extremely crazy about Bridesmaids, but I'm not so into that brand of comedy. As comedies go, it was definitely on the good side rather than the bad bad bad side. I'm going to have to check some of these others out.
